Senior Full Stack Developer

Who are we?

We are now looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join Knowit Solutions and strengthen our capabilities in delivering demanding application development projects and services within our service business.
What kind of developer and technical expertise are we looking for?
We are looking for a software development professional with a consulting mindset and a strong service-oriented attitude. At Knowit, this especially means:
The ability to present and communicate ideas, best practices, and technical solutions to various stakeholders—from development teams to non-technical audiences.
The ability to see technologies as tools for solving technical problems and delivering value.
A built-in curiosity to learn new things, experiment with new technologies and practices, develop professionally, and share knowledge with others.
From a technical perspective, we hope you have gained modern programming experience in complex application development projects. Your background could be in consulting or product development.
This role is somewhat unique: we are growing our service business capabilities and are, in a way, looking for a person around whom we can build a future application development team. This requires self-direction, insight, and seniority.
Currently, your team includes experts in platform solutions and application development, so you won’t be working alone. The team is based in Tampere and often collaborates on-site, so ideally you also enjoy working regularly at the office.
We expect you to have strong skills in writing high-quality, tested, and maintainable code as we take pride in our work. You should have hands-on experience and insight from multiple long-term and complex development projects using modern tools and practices, from agile methods to cloud environments and DevOps. Familiarity with using AI tools as part of software development and competence to build AI features as part of the solutions is also expected. Readiness for ticket-based work is an important part of the role.
If your toolkit includes skills such as the following, you might be the colleague we are looking for:
Strong programming skills, e.g. TypeScript, Node.js, React and Python
Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Solid integration and API skills
Understanding of software architectures and maintainability
Interest in and openness to AI-assisted development
Additional deeper expertise for example in databases, containerization, MS Entra ID, or big data / time series data is considered a plus.
Strong communication skills are important for teamwork, internal networking, and building new solutions. Fluency in spoken and written English is required; Finnish is considered a clear advantage.
