We are aiming to be the very best in Data Driven Services in the Nordics. In order to do so, we are looking for Senior AI Engineer to strengthen our Data & Analytics crew and AI capabilities.

What the role is about

As a senior expert in AI and data-driven solutions, your role is both hands-on and client-facing, combining deep expertise in Generative AI and LLM with the ability to consult, advise, and build strong client relationships as well as design and implement solutions with measurable business value. Your role will focus on GenAI development in various client and industry environments.

You will work closely with our diverse range of clients, helping them navigate complex data challenges and develop impactful AI solutions tailored to their real business needs. Beyond solution delivery, you will play a key role in guiding development direction, providing strategic consulting, and shaping best practices in AI.

In addition to client work, you will actively contribute to pre-sales, offering development, and internal competence growth. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across different fields to refine our DataOps approach, improve processes, and drive innovation. Your role will also include public speaking and knowledge-sharing, helping to strengthen our position as a recognized AI and data expert in the industry. Technical skills:

• Several years of diverse hands-on experience in designing and building AI solutions with real business needs and backgrounds
• Expertise from GenAI application and agentic systems development
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with major AI, ML and data frameworks such as PyTorch or Databricks.
• Knowledge of modern cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and related data science tools/services.
• Expertise in at least a couple of areas such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), computer vision, time series forecasting, optimization, predictive modeling, or MLOps, with a strong foundation in data-driven problem-solving.

Non-technical skills:

• Must have consulting work expertise and a strong consulting mindset, able to guide clients and recommend best practices.
• You enjoy solving complex data challenges and collaborating with clients and the team.
• Ability to understand business problems, objectives, and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Finnish and/or English.
• Understanding of AI and data governance, compliance, ethical considerations, model risk management, and responsible AI principles.

• For salary model, we offer two options. Either fixed monthly salary with range of 5500 - 6500e depending on competence and experience. Other option is commission based salary model (Knowit Solutions FLX)
